Visitor Information

We’re delighted to be the designated Visitor Information Point for Bandon town and surrounds.

Bandon Walled Town

Bandon itself, although going through a major facelift at the moment, is a beautiful town steeped in history. It is one of the 29 Walled Towns of Ireland and the Walled Town Festival is one of the highlight events of the year.

The area was also a pivotal location for the War of Independence. In fact, much of Ken Loach’s award winning movie “The Wind that Shakes the Barley” was filmed in Bandon. The West Cork Heritage Centre is a fantastic attraction as it brings you back in time giving you an impression of how life was lived back in the early 1900’s.

For the outdoorsy people, Bandon is 7 miles from 7 beaches! It also boasts one of the finest parkland Golf Courses in Cork. Also, The beautiful Bandon River is one of the most picturesque places to enjoy fishing or nature photography.

Bandon is a market town packed full of gorgeous shops, restaurants & cafés. There is something to offer for everyone young or old.

Should you be visiting the area don’t hesitate to contact us about the local attractions on offer. We’d love to try and help you!

Art Gallery & Coffee Shop

If you're visiting the shop, grab a perch for yourself in our tranquil art gallery and revel in the wonderful exhibitions of local artists, which rotates on a monthly basis. To top it off, treat yourself to a sip of West Cork Coffee & artisan delights from the fabulous WCC Brew Bar (run by West Cork Coffees very own Tony Speight and his amazing crew).

Our art gallery space has hosted some incredible exhibitions from local artists and national artists since 2019. If you are an artist and would like to find out more info about exhibiting your work here, please do drop us an email outlining a bit about yourself and include some images of your work.
